Chrystal lay on the beach, watching the waves get closer and closer to her feet. All the worries of the day seemed to melt away in the sun. Brushing sand off of her pants, she got up and then saw something moving on the sand beside her feet.
It was only a pale white sand crab. The ocean waves roared out the sound of it's legs hitting the sand. She picked up her bright green towel and then set off in search of her favorite spot in the whole beach.
Her tennis shoes squashed here, but she ignored it and kept going, finally reaching the edge of the woods. Chrystal walked along it for a while until she got to a large rock formation. It was like the steps had already been made there long before, as she climbed to the top.
Up here it was windy and the rock was flat. She lay down her towel and noticed that it was warm from the sun's rays.

Atlas crept through the woods, feeling miserable. His nose burned with a unfamiliar sharp stench, mingling with the heavy salt air of the ocean. The woods were thick and green, closing in.
A new scent reached his nose – not sharp or icy, not salty. Perplexed, he followed the smell. The trees gradually began to clear, revealing a rock formation jutting out. Atop of it was a girl, maybe seventeen or eighteen.
Atlas gave a yip of joy. Humans, civilization! He’d finally get to eat.... But he was still a giant wolf. That was a problem. If he was lucky, the girl wouldn’t notice him. But Atlas was rarely lucky.

Chrystal sat up from a nap and pulled out the earphones of her ipod. She stared blankly into the woods for a short while, and then lay back down. I must be hearing things, Chrystal thought to herself. She turned up the volume of her ipod, knowing that if it was something, that she would know if it was there.
Still she felt someone watching her.

[glow=purple,2,300]Maria walked along the beach, in human form for once. She had on dark blue jeans, but she'd left her hoodie at home. Today was sunny, there was no need for it. Instead, in it's place, was a light green t-shirt. Her dark brown shoes were replaced with light flipflops, and she enjoyed walking through the water where it was the thinnest on the sand. It was salty and felt cool between her bare toes. She had her hands in her pockets as she had no where else to put them. She sighed contently to herself; this was a nice day. She looked up to see a girl further a long the beach. She smiled politely and waved. "Hey," she said happily when she got closer. "Nice day, huh? Better enjoy it while you can, warm days don't last long here."[/glow]

From the brush, Atlas sighed quietly. The girl had looked up, but apparently hadn’t seen him lurking about. He desperately wished that he would become human again.
His ears rose, picking up a noise. Another girl. But unlike the lighter scent of the other girl, who was clearly human, this one smelled like the trees and the animals and the wind. Familiar. It reminded him... of himself, in a way. Of that insane little voice that had appeared in his head the day he had phased. Could it have been this person?
Atlas nervously crept forward, wanting a better look. He didn’t know that that stupid thornbush was there. An audible yelp escaped him, and he stood at full height, no doubt in plain sight. Oh well.
He sat down on the warm sand, watching and waiting for someone to do something. If it went badly, well... he could always run.

[glow=purple,2,300]Maria's nose twitched; she knew she'd scented something before. There was another werewolf here, but it wasn't this human girl in front of her. She whirled around as the yip came from the bushes behind the two, and sure enough there stood a giant wolf. Maria closed her eyes, trying to calm herself, but failing desperately. Her body shook and she clenched her hands into fists in her pockets; she could feel the nails of her fingers digging into the palm of her hand. She clenched her teeth together, desperately trying to get a hold of herself. Finally, she managed to calm down, but it wouldn't take much to set her off again. She looked down at the human, wondering what her reaction would be to a giant wolf on the beach.[/glow]

Isabella was completely disguised with her invisible power as she walked down the beach, not even leaving a print in the sand. She winced slightly as werewolf smell caught her nose, but continued along the stretch of white sand, staring in disbelief at the werewolf that sat there unmoving. It looked like the werewolf girl had noticed it. The vampire dashed along the beach, still completely hidden, and grabbed the wolf, vanishing into the trees with it too fast for a human to notice. She half threw, half dropped the wolf at the base of a tree. In the soft, deadly, velvet voice she used, she half screamed at the huge animal in front of her.
'Well, that was well planned out, dog. You nearly revealed the existence of giant wolves to the whole human population. They would be out trying to hunt you for days...'
Her body twitched slightly, and, in surprise, the vampire flashed deeper into the woods as her invisibility wore out. Summoning her concentration, she allowed it to surround her. Stupid werewolf.
Looking up at the sky, she realized how lucky she was to have this power. She glanced down at where her arm had been and shivered as she moved closer to Maria.

Chrystal looked up again, now seeing two other girls and something moving in the bushes. She snatched up her towel and then feeling confused, walked towards them. Maybe they knew what it was.
Her tennis shoes were once again sticking into the sand, as she walked closer. "Hi!" she said, waving to them.

[glow=purple,2,300]Maria scowled at the vampire who had just shown. What is a blood sucker doing on werewolf territory? she wanted to ask, but the human was standing here and listening so that made it difficult. Instead she just glowered at the leech. She was surprised that the human didn't see the giant wolf in the bushes until the blood sucker came along, but she was grateful for it. "Hey," she said, trying her best to smile at the unsuspecting human. Her arms were shaking now and she could feel herself losing control again. Her fingernails dug deep into her palm as she fought herself with control. "I'm Maria, by the way." [/glow]

((OOC: Bella is invisible. I'm not sure, but you made it sound like you could see her...well, it doesn't really matter.))
Isabella glared at the werewolf, muttering so silently under her breath that only another vampire could hear her. Stupid dog.
Keeping her eyes steadily fixed on Maria, she motioned with a hand into the woods. 'I was here saving that thing's back.' Just thinking about the werewolf made her shiver. Her dark gold eyes darted back and forth. She was standing in the shade of a large oak tree, watching both with wary eyes. Her skin stayed its normal color, not sparkling. She couldn't approach them any further, as doing so would risk the existence of vampires. She did not smile at Chrystal, but stared at her and Maria silently.
She didn't even bother to reply.

One moment he was on soft sand – and the next, whisked away from it, two cold hands holding him up. In another second, he crashed into the base of a tree. He looked up with yellow eyes ablaze, massive teeth on display a disembodied voice screamed at him. Atlas was on fire. The blood coursed through his veins like molten metal, and his vision blurred – there was nothing but him and the too-smooth voice, and the icy stench that bit at his nose like cold wind. Something inside him was screaming that this was a place for wolves. The voice was gone, and the scent was fading. He got up, sniffing at the dirt. There was a trail. He took off after it, maddened by the energy coursing through him. Atlas would get rid of this intruder, this… this… vampire, whispered the voice. He could not help himself; he leapt towards the tree she leaned on, massive teeth at the ready.

((Woops, my bad. >.< I thought she was visible.))
[glow=purple,2,300]Maria, at the moment the werewolf returned a second time, lost control of herself completely. Her whole body shook violently and her legs gave out from under her. With her support gone she crumpled to the soft sand underfoot, then, as quickly as it began it was over. Where Maria once stood there was now a large chocolate brown wolf. The shredded remains of her clothes dotted the ground about her as she shook her massive head. When she opened her eyes she could see the vampire there again, with the werewolf right behind it. She curled back her lips to reveal the fangs that lay underneath. The human to her now was just a memory, made unreal by her mind and instincts, both telling her to rip this vampire to shreds.[/glow]

Isabella took three steps back as she watched the two wolves come straight at her...and then disappeared behind a tree, vanishing completely. The invisibility surrounded her, and her soft, musical laugh rang through the trees as she took off running across the sand. Her vision was perfect; she slipped through the crowds of people easily, heading toward the Quiluete boundary line. As soon as she had crossed it, she whipped around and ran back to where she had started.
This time, she used the trees.

The vampire moved before he could kill her.
Atlas paused for a second, swinging his massive head around, trying to catch the scent again. He saw that second girl again, now a brown wolf. The sight of the second wolf in this deranged state only fueled his anger. The scent burned in his nose again – she was heading south. Like a hunting hound, he raised his muzzle and howled.
He was running again, trying his hardest to catch the vampire… but again he lost the scent at a big pine tree. He snarled, wildly glancing from treetop to treetop. Nothing to be found. The heat was leaving him. Atlas panted heavily, sinking to the ground, a human again.

[glow=purple,2,300]Maria growled in frustration and followed after the werewolf. She weaved expertly through the trees, following the scent as well as the bulky shape of the wolf in front of her. She stopped abruptly as she lost the scent also, and the wolf in front of her stopped. She raised her head and scented the air; nothing. She walked a few steps to the right and scented the air again; nothing. She whined and turned to look at the other wolf, but quickly turned her head away; he was a human again. With no clothes on. She turned her back and sat down. Obviously she wouldn't be able to follow the scent anymore.[/glow]
