Celeste Vorhis sat on the thick brown log, her liquid gold eyes flashing back and forth between the forest and the two elk she had just killed. She would look like any normal human at this angle to...well...a normal human. Not to vampires; they would be able to smell her. The same with the werewolves.
Picking up a gray-white stone, she crushed it to dust with a pinch of her marble fingers, now staring idly out at the horizon as the sun set behind a fog of pinkish clouds and a heavily forested land that stretched out much farther than she could see. She breathed deeply to smell the air around her, and took off through the brush in a run as she identified humans.
Branches, twigs, and thorns all snapped when they came in contact with her stone skin, with the force at which she ran, about eighty miles per hour. When she couldn't smell them any more, she sat down again at the base of a tree, curling her hands around the thick roots, snapping them with hollow cracks as she continued to observe the night around her, watching through the night for anything mortal or immortal.

[glow=red,2,300]Brad crouched on the wet ground, his eyes set on the target in front of him. Leaves concealed his presence, thick overgrowing bushes growing about all around him. He was so focused on what he was doing that the only sound he could hear was the even thrumming of the deer's heart in front of him and the chewing sound it was making as it grazed on the dewed grass of the early dawn. His sharp eyes caught a movement in the bushes across from him. A black bear, fair in size, stumbled out of the bushes and straight towards the deer. The doe immediately flashed away, straight past the bush where Brad was concealed. He smiled with pure delight. He could have gotten the doe easily, but this bear was going to be more fun.
The bear roared in frustration when the doe dissapeared and lumbered forward. Brad finally jumped out of his hiding place and stood casually right in front of the bear. It reared up on it's hind legs and roared with surprise. The animal raised it's massive paw and it came down, claws first, onto Brad's chest. His shirt was shredded to peices, but what lay underneath hadn't even been scathed. An awful shreiking noise filled the air as the bear's claws scraped against his stone-hard chest. "Now why did you have to go and do that?" Brad asked as the bear roared again from the noise. "That was my favorite shirt."
Brad smiled widely, the grin transforming itself into a snarl. He launched himself forward and latched onto the bear's neck. The bear growled and attempted to claw Brad off again, but the attempt was in vain. The bear fell backwards and flailed helplessly with it's paws as Brad sucked the life out of the massive animal.
Brad stood up and wiped his mouth with the back of his hand. He felt not totally satisfied, but good enough. His golden eyes turned down at his tattered shirt and he let out a small grimace. "It was one of a kind," he sighed. "Got it fifty years ago..." He sighed again and took a step forward, out of this forest he was in. His nose was still filled with the scent of the bear he just killed that he didn't pick up the other vampire scent drifting towards him nearby.[/glow]

Celeste brushed the tip of a fern plant with her hand, and inhaled deeply. The tang of blood drifted softly upon the cool night air, so faint that there was no way a human could smell it. There was a more distinct odor that flashed through the air after it, and Celeste was so fixed on the scents that she flinched as the heavy smell of vampire came drifting along on the night breeze, sweeping it past her nose. The female took another breath to locate the smell, got up, and began to race through te undergrowth in the direction of the scent. The closer she got, the more pronounced the vampire-and-blood smell became.
Cracking twigs under her feet, snapping branches and some other foliage in her way, she jumped up into one of the trees, letting her gold eyes do the work of locating the other vampire. She could tell it wasn't an enemy by the fact that it was drinking animal blood and there were plenty of humans around. A tall, strong form parted brush from its way with its hands, and was about to exit the woodlands when Celeste whispered the few words that the vampire would be sure to hear.
'Where are you going?'

[glow=red,2,300]Brad froze in mid-step and brought his outstretched foot back to place. With his hands in his pockets he turned casually and looked up into a fairly tall tree before him. His sharp golden eyes found a slight female shape amongst the branches and leaves. Her eyes seemed to glow, golden, thankfully, so she didn't seem to be an enemy.
He grinned politely at her, showing off his perfect teeth. "I was just on my way out of this forest," he answered, his voice smooth and calming. "I'm sorry, I'd no idea that this territory already belonged to another vampire. I'll leave if you wish." The tendrils of his shredded shirt blew faintly in the slight breeze and he sighed inwardly at the thought of his favorite shirt. "Guess I'll need a new shirt before I do that, though..." he muttered, though he knew it was quite clear to the other campire what he said.[/glow]

Celeste watched him through narrowed eyes before replying to this simple statement. 'Actually, I've just been wandering around.' Her golden eyes darted to the left. 'You live somewhere, right? So, I'll just let you go about your business.' She closed her eyes for a short second, attempting to shift through the other vampire's mind. 'And, if you were wondering, I'm Celeste.' She placed a hand on the trunk, squeezing her hand tightly and causing a few holes to appear in the bark.
She vaguely wondered if this vampire had a power.

[glow=red,2,300] "Not really," Brad replied. "I'm a traveler. I've no permanent home, I was going to find a motel or something to stay at. I've grown fond of this little town, though, so I may stay a while." He listened to the rest of this vampire's conversationg and introduced himself aswell. "I'm Brad," he answered. He wondered if this vampire had any powers, also. He thought of his own, showing people memories and images by a simple touch, and wondered what her's was. He took one step forward, then flashed up the tree next to her's, sitting on a branch that was level to the one she was on.
"Your the first vampire I've met in a while," he said idly. "I didn't know there were other vampires in Forks." [/glow]

Mina flowed through the forest, her long hair flowing behind her. Nothing thrilled her more to go for a good run in the forest. Mina's eyes were golden from hunting earlier in the morning. She had on some light died jeans and a long sleeved green shirt. Her feet were bare because she loved the feeling of the ground under her. Mina was alerted to activitie in the nearby clearing. She checked the emotions and found them pleasant enough so she decided it wasnt a arguement.[/color]" Lets go say high," Mina said to herself. She didn't exactly have any friends in Forks, but she would hate to leave it if a Human Drinking Vampire showed. Plus there was that other scent that had stopped Mina the other day. It was vampire and by the smell of it a Vegetarian like herself. Mina hadn't had company with another vampire like herself in years.
She entered the clearing and noticed a female and a male in a tree. Good emotions, so what the heck. " Hello," Mina said in her most welcoming of voices. She climbed up a nearby tree and smiled at both of them with her beautiful smile.

[glow=red,2,300]Brad turned and his golden eyes caught the movement of another female shape racing up the trees. The new vampire rested on a branch and smiled at the two who were already there. She seemed polite enough, and her eyes were a golden color as well so she couldn't be an enemy. "Hey," Brad greeted her, flashing one of his own dazzling smiles. The wind picked up and ruffled his short brown hair. If he were a normal human he'd be freezing by now, but he felt no different. The tattered remains of his shirt blew faintly in the breeze. "Who're you?" he asked, returning to the subject. "I'm Brad."[/glow]

Mina liked how the male was behaving politely. Moved into a more comfortable positon on the branch. She could tell that this was a vampire she could trust. " My names Mina. Mina Klein. You from around here," Mina asked curiously. It would be nice to have another like her own to confide in. It was always nice to return the conversation back to the other. She could tell the vampire was a well educated one.

[glow=red,2,300]"No, I'm a traveller. Though I have grown attached to this little town, I may stay a while," he repeated what he had told the other female earlier. There are a lot of vampires here in Forks... Guess I've been busy with other stuff if I hadn't noticed sooner... "What about you?" he asked, his voice smooth. "Do you live here or are you a traveler like me?" He sighed as he gave up on his shredded shirt. He removed it and hung it on a nearby branch.[/glow]

Celeste smiled thinly. "I've always supposed there were more humans in Forks. There are more than enough vampires here," she said, drawing out the word 'vampires' as another one flashed through the trees toward them. Celeste noted the new vampire's liquid golden eyes.
She replied to the new female's question quietly. "I'm Celeste." Even though the next question was not directed at her, she answered quietly. "I live here. But I don't really live in a house." She wrinkled her nose slightly.

Renesmee sped through the forest with such speed it was amazing she didn't hit a tree. The blonde newborn vampire jerked to a complete standstill as the scent of three vampires hit her perfectly smooth nose. Her still-bright crimson eyes flashed around, aware of any possible danger. The vampires had an odd smell about them...something animal. Not like the werewolves, but Renesmee couldn't put her finger on it.
Renesmee snarled under her breath when a gust of wind blew her scent towards the strangers. Knowing her cover was blown, Renesmee stepped into the clearing, her blonde ringlets swirling around her pale granite face. She ducked her head, not wanting to show the strangers at first that she was a newborn.
Through sidelong glances, Renesmee peered in wonder at the other vampires' strange golden eyes. Not long after emerging into the clearing, Renesmee scented blood, but instantly repelled. A drained elk lay off a ways into the forest. That was the odd smell! These vampires drank animal blood, not human.

[glow=red,2,300]Brad's golden eyes darted down to the forest floor below where a scent caught his attention. Though he couldn't see it, he knew that this was a vampire. He was about to jump out of the tree and see who it was, but the shape moved from the bushes, apparantly knowing that it's cover was blown. The blonde female vampire hid her eyes so Brad couldn't tell if this was one who hunted humans or animals. She seemed almost vulnerable down on the forest floor, her face concealed within her flowing hair. "Who are you?" he asked in more curiosity than hostility. There are more vampires here than I thought, he said to himself. He longed to see her eyes, see if she had the blood red eyes of a human hunter or the liquid golden of an animal hunter. The moonlight reflected off of his pale granite face and off of his stone-hard chest that glittered dully with the light from the clear moon above.[/glow]

[glow=blue,2,300]Renesmee took one shuddering breath and lifted her head, her honey blonde curls falling over her shoulders. Her eyes were not the blood red of a human hunter nor the liquid golden of these strange hunters. Although she had been feeding on humans, unaware that there was any other way, Renesmee's eyes were still a burning crimson.
"My name is Renesmee Liantuh. As you can probably tell from my eyes, I'm a newborn." The pealing bell sound of Renesmee's voice echoed off the trees. Another gust of wind rocked the trees; it looked like a storm was on the way.
"I used to live here in Forks... Sometimes I visit my old house at night...and I can still hear my mother cry over me..." Renesmee resisted the tearless sobs that rose in her throat. Crying, even without tears wasn't worth it.[/glow]

[glow=red,2,300]Brad's teeth pulled back a small bit involuntarily when he saw the blonde's eyes. No wonder she wanted to hide them from the others. He controlled himself; at least it seemed that this vampire wasn't going to attack, no matter the different change in diet. There was something off about her eyes; they weren't as blood red as the human hunters, though they weren't golden like his own. "I'm Brad," he introduced himself once more, his voice calm again, though his face was set in an expression he wasn't sure what it was. Anger? Annoyance? He'd no idea, it was a mixture of different emotions. [/glow]
